About the role:

We
are looking for a Compliance Officer to join our team in Barcelona. We
are about to become a regulated Electronic Money Institution and you
will be the person making sure our second line of defense is perfectly
run at all times. Reporting directly to the CEO, we seek somebody who is
passionate about owning the strategic direction and leadership for all
things compliance.
What you’ll do:
- Head the company’s Compliance function and will be responsible for the implementation of risk management strategies
- Advise management on the company's compliance with laws and regulations
- Implement and manage effective compliance program
- Assess company’s operations to assess compliance risk
- Create and monitor key risk indicators
- Get us started with all compliance and regulatory matters in Lithuania with the help of a compliance analyst in Lithuania
- Identify ongoing opportunities to optimize reporting processes and drive continuous improvement across the function
- Provide
support for Regulators and Law Enforcement as part of audits,
examinations and investigations and implement the recommendations from
any such reviews
- Monitor any potential changes to any regulation change and educate the company on them
Requirements
Who we're looking for:
- You
have a deep understanding of AML/CFT law , GDPR, Payments law and any
regulation applicable to an Electronic Money Institution in Europe
- Proven expertise in leading Compliance function in a startup is a must
- You have a strong and independent mind-set ability to create and implement pragmatic solutions
- You have previously worked with product teams and understand the challenges of creating frictionless services
