About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales & Business Development Director
is accountable for developing, accelerating and scaling Geeksme’s IoT
products & services revenues within lead players in different
verticals across Europe. The successful candidate will work closely with
Product Development, Management and Marketing teams who share a common
vision and passion for building the foundation for this emerging
industry that will change the way connected devices are developed,
managed and utilized.
Required Skills/Experience:
- A
proven business development sales person with at least 8+ years’
experience selling complex software and IoT solutions into European
large and medium-sized enterprises where there’s usually multiple
decision makers and influencers.
- Startup mentality; highly motivated with problem-solving ability; self-starter with proven success in dealing with ambiguity.
- Demonstrated experience connected to digital transformation related technologies, with focus on both B2B and B2C markets.
- Experience
of selling and presenting to multiple C level exec’s within large and
medium-sized enterprise organizations, with ability to engage with all
stakeholders. With proven ability to identify, engage, sell to C level
enterprise executives.
- Experience in selling highly complex products to technical stakeholders.
- Tech savvy, keeping up with online trends, tactics and tools.
- Agile, able to operate in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Able to adapt within a team in a digital transformation world.
- Experience building Go-To-Market plans that scale across an organization.
- Silicon/electronic industry experience is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in ODM and HW manufacturing in Asia is highly recommended.
- Ability
to synthesize multiple viewpoints, perspectives and opinions with
objective and impartial analysis to solve problems, gain consensus, and
drive decisions.
- Ability to develop, negotiate and close long sales cycle, large-scale and long term commercial agreements.
- Experience
and a solid network in multiple industrial verticals where IoT is key
for their digital transformation (e.g., Telco, Transportation,
Logistics, Sport, Insurance, Health, Rest, Smart City, Industry 4.0,
Security, …)
- Strong experience in addressing and monetizing IoT
verticals and pertinent ecosystem (products, services/project and
business models)
- Consulting selling skills and ability to articulate new and complex product offerings.
- Strong technical background and/or education. At least Bachelor’s degree. MBA degree is desirable.
- Very strong English skills (oral and written)
- Willingness to travel (25%-40%)
- Based in Madrid, Spain.
