Descripción de la oferta

We have an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Manager to join our team in Spain.

We are looking for someone experienced in delivering large scale software programmes. This position will play a pivotal part in delivering high-risk projects, products and services for our customers. This is a client-focused role, where Delivery Managers ensure our clients are satisfied whilst maintaining strong client and peer relationships.

What you’ll do:

  • Engage with senior stakeholders and provide clear communication whilst showcasing your ability to build credibility and trust with both stakeholders and delivery teams, including in remote-first environments
  • Manage client relationships as the main point of contact for client delivery, using strong interpersonal skills and clear, evidence-based, timely communication to develop trust and build an excellent working relationship
  • Own the delivery of tightly scoped and large-scale projects, managing scope and risks to ensure delivery in line with our contractual commitments
  • Run discovery activities with clients, either during pre-sales activity or within engagements, to elicit our clients’ high-level business objectives and create the delivery roadmap, collaborating with business and technology stakeholders
  • Ensure roadmaps are prioritised by both business value and risk, to ensure that delivery teams are able to deliver a first release early and then continue to deliver value as frequently as daily from then on
  • Setup, maintain and ensure consistent use of appropriate communication channels for client engagements, such as daily stand-ups, storyboards, show-and-tells and workshops
  • Accurately monitor client engagements with appropriate project reporting metrics, health checks, risk management and facilitated channels. This will include weekly and monthly reports or dashboards for playback to relevant stakeholders and One Beyond Directors, incorporating budget requirements, resourcing needs and delivery outcomes as well as summarising issues and risks
  • Manage the resourcing needs of client engagements, collaborating with One Beyond Departmental Leads to ensure early visibility of and effective planning for changes to project capacity, budget and opportunities
  • Identify capability and training needs, providing coaching to GuideSmiths and client staff where necessary. Facilitate continuous improvement of delivery teams, using retrospectives and feedback to promote agile methods
  • Improve the delivery team’s ability to achieve contractual commitments and meet deadlines by diplomatically protecting teams from unproductive distractions such as ad-hoc and unstructured stakeholder meetings; instead establish structured engagement with clients and teams using structured techniques and processes including story boards (using digital project collaboration tools), backlog grooming, sprint planning, ‘three amigos’ and show-and-tells
  • Ensure invoicing accurately corresponds to project resource time
  • Opportunity over time to grow into taking ownership of delivery in a rapidly scaling, multinational, client-focused software company, with the opportunity to lead a wide variety of mission-critical projects for market-leading companies

Experience & Skills:

You may be a good fit if you have:

  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills, in English (C2) and Spanish languages
  • Are a clear decision-maker, able to take ownership and manage client engagements in the best interests of both the client and One Beyond
  • Have strong experience in ensuring technical teams deliver contractual commitments in line with the statement of work, in both fixed-scope and agile projects, working in a software consultancy or similar environment
  • Are experienced in Agile methodologies for software delivery; able to identify and explain the strengths and weaknesses of using Scrum and other agile methodologies
  • Have experience in servant leadership, being able to explain the benefits of this leadership approach for team management

What skills add value to your application?

  • Have excellent organisational skills, being able to stay focused on different tasks, using the time and energy effectively and efficiently in order to achieve the project goals
  • Enjoy working closely with the pre-sales team, supporting the pre-sales activity, including writing proposals and client pitch presentations
  • Are familiar with the use of storyboards to transparently and unambiguously communicate the status and priority of pending, in-progress and recently delivered work
  • Have experience in drafting statements of work for continuing client engagements
  • Are experienced in line management, recruitment processes, and staff performance management
