We're looking for a talented and clever data scientist to join our
team and help us push the boundaries of ad-serving analytics from our
beautiful headquarters in Barcelona.
If you...
-Believe that to reach the limits of what can be done you have to explore the realms of what is impossible to do,
-Understand why someone might think that "Data Science" is a redundant term,
-Are amazing but down to Earth,
-Can take a good punch in the form of your colleagues' criticism,
-Are brilliant with probability and statistics,
-Hold a Master's Degree in a quantitative subject (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, etc.)
-Have 2 to 4 years of experience in a commercial or academic environment
-Eat feature engineering for breakfast and data manipulation for dessert,
-Are very good with R or Python,
-Can write SQL queries blindfolded and
-Know the basics of machine learning algorithms...
... we'd love to talk with you!
What
will we consider a plus? Having previous experience as data scientist
in an ad-network or similar role, know your way around Big Data-related
technologies such as Hive and Spark, you can write java code, having
worked with convolutional networks, master time series or you can sit
down and code a gradient descend after an in-office barbecue next to our
beer tap.
What will you be doing?
-You will join
our Data Science team and work side by side with our developers, data
engineers and BI analysts in several exciting projects.
-Further improve our ad-selection algorithm. We've come a long way, but we refuse to settle.
-Find third party data that can help our ad-matching process.
-Run ad-hoc analysis and provide analytics support to other departments when needed.
-Run A/B (and multiple) tests on a regular basis to assess the performance of the features we constantly deploy in production.
-Come up with new ideas we haven't thought of to improve any aspect of Billy's operations. The more creative, the better.
