Badoo is looking for an additional Data Analyst to help meet the
growing business need for insights. Our team provides ad-hoc analytics
for departments across the business, as well as advanced analysis such
as anomaly detection, behavioural analysis, new feature analysis,
clusterization, user segmentation, A/B testing and data visualisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB ROLE
- Manipulate complex datasets (sometimes dirty data) with a range of programming tools
- Deliver actionable insights to product, billing, engineering and operations teams
- Perform
analysis across a variety of data topics and help solve challenges such
as user clusterization, performance tuning, and anomaly detection
- Contribute to ongoing infrastructure improvements
- Contribute
to building an event level tracking system that is already collecting
millions of events per second (think Google Analytics built in-house)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Strong
commercial experience querying, analysing and providing insights from
large datasets (100 TB+), preferably in online/tech industry
- Advanced SQL (analytic functions, performance tuning, data cleaning)
- Python or R (statistics, regression, forecasting, time series analysis)
- Advanced Excel
- Experience in A/B testing analysis (significance analysis)
- Data Visualisation (D3, matplotlib, ggplot) desirable
- Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Exasol desirable
- MicroStrategy or other BI platform desirable
- Data Modeling desirable
- Machine Learning desirable
- Version Control experience (Git, SVN) desirable
