We are looking for a driven CTO to join our team and help us bring
our unique technology to higher education institutions across the world.
As CTO, you'll be primarily responsible for developing and
engineering our software products, recruiting an all-star engineering
team and providing leadership and oversight to the technical
architecture at Unibuddy.
We take culture very seriously and prefer Co-Founders to have an interest in higher education space.
You should have:
- Strong bend towards engineering/architecting product solutions and managing delivery.
- Take full accountability and ownership on technology
- Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
- Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
- Build quality assurance and data protection processes
- Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
- Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
- Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors
Requirements:
- MSc in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
- Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role
- Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
- Understanding of budgets and business-planning
- Ability to conduct technological analyses and research

Technologies:
- Front-end and Backend (Python, React, CSS)
- GraphQL API Architecture
- Databases: MongoDB/NoSQL
- Infrastructure: Heroku, Git, AWS, CircleCI/TravisCI etc.
