POSITION SUMMARY
Aktana seeks an experienced Business Analyst to work with our
customers to understand their strategic goals and structure analytical
frameworks to measure the success of these goals and quantify the
ultimate business impact. The overall objective is to deepen our
engagement with customers by identifying exactly how our customers are
using our product and then using analytics to identify what is working
and what isn't. The ideal candidate is somebody with both advanced
technical skills as well as a developed business sense that enables them
to identify customer needs and communicate analytical results in a
non-technical way. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have
experience manipulating life sciences syndicated commercial data (such
as Symphony or IQVIA) and will have worked in a sales and marketing
analytics function or consulting role.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with Aktana customers and Customer Success team to understand client strategy and intended outcome of using Aktana
- Utilize a consultative approach to guide our customers in impact measurement design and execution
- Develop value frameworks and tracking mechanisms
- Structure, execute and communicate analysis on the impact of our projects
- Conduct an exploratory analysis of the available data
- Formalize results, where appropriate, into anonymized case studies
- Learn about Aktana's product suite and how our customers typically use it to achieve their commercial goals
- Build relationships across Aktana's Data Science, Advanced Services
and Data / Reporting teams and pulling them in as needed for additional
support
- Provide guidance to our product management and marketing teams to
help us improve our product and market positioning based on analytical
evidence
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCES
- Undergraduate degree in a quantitative or business-related field
- 4+ years experience in an analytics-based consulting role, exploring
large data sets in order to answer strategic questions for customers
(either as an internal analyst or external consultant)
- Either advanced SQL experience or extensive familiarity with a data analysis program like Alteryx
- Life science commercial strategy experience
- Experience in building strategic, impactful, business-driven insights from data (example case studies welcome)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (example presentations welcome)
- Customer-facing experience, including managing project requirements and communicating project results
- Comfort in working with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced, loosely structured startup environment
- Strong executive presence
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with life science-specific data sources (IMS/IQVIA, Symphony, Veeva, etc.)
- Experience managing customers across different regions of the world (with different work cultures, time zones, etc.)
- Foreign Language skills to support our global customers
