We are Lumumba. How are you? We are a multicultural clothing brand. We aim to create street fashion inspired in cultural traditions found across the world. We want to bring back meaning and democracy to the fashion industry.
We are a startup graduate from Founder Institute 2016. We are currently working from Cloud Coworking in Barcelona. We are a small small team and we are looking for a tech person who would be interested in joining the Lumumba tribe. We would appreciate somebody that is in Barcelona right now but has the availability to move abroad and an interest in exploring new cultures.
We don’t have salaries ourselves but we may start having salaries after November. We give equity (6%) and a place in one of the best coworking spaces in the city. In terms of commitment, we don’t need you to work full time for now but you may have to do so starting October. We don’t mind working 7 days a week and 12 hours a day if we have to, so keep that in mind.
The work would be all the backend and data science work. We have a part-time front end developer so that’s why the emphasis on back-end skills. We work with AWS, PHP, Wordpress, WooCommerce, Braintree and others. You will be able to implement and deploy solutions that you will feel best suited for Lumumba, such as transitioning to our own custom back office, developing a new web app from scratch and such. We are also interested in Android and Ruby development skills (you would be able to create the app from scratch). We also value data processing, gamification, dashboard building, platform automation skills. Our plan is to grow far beyond a simple e-commerce website.
