So, What’s the role?
As a lead DVELP’r you’ll be spending most of your time doing the thing you love; coding.
When you’re not actually coding, you’ll probably be thinking about
it. About how we can do it better, about which resources we can use to
make it easier, quicker and most importantly, more enjoyable.
We expect that you’ll know how to solve most coding challenges, but
understand that creating beautiful, well-written code requires thought
and dedication outside the realms of just ‘getting it done’.
Our culture is to ‘be better’ and you will play an integral part in ensuring our tech and our team is always, better.
What skills do you need?
At a minimum, you’ll need 4 years professional Ruby experience, a
pragmatic approach to problem solving and be able to express your
opinions and ideas to the team in a coherent manner.
You will need to be able to write well in order You like to share
your experiences and thought-processes, both internally and with the
wider whether it is through through blog posts, open source work or
conferences.
We are looking for someone who has contributed on large and small
projects, both for fun and for work. A skilled engineer who can find the
simplest solution from a complex array of problems and identify the
most efficient tools for the job, both in the immediate instance and the
future.
Experience with these technologies would be awesome: Ruby*, Postgres, Redis/Resque, Nginx, Apache, Git.
*This one’s pretty key, our core focus is around Ruby back-ends.
