The Role
Useractive is a boutique agency specialising in UX and UI Design for
software companies. Initially a contract role with the possibility of a
permanent position for the right candidate. As a permanent position,
this would be a pivotal role in managing design production processes
within a small growing agency.
The Candidate
Useractive is looking for an accomplished designer with a strong
understanding of UI, UX and interaction design. The designer must have
both a technical understanding and keen interest in designing high
quality software interfaces. The role involves resolving complex user
journeys, interactions, UX messaging and presenting data in a visually
appealing and intuitive way.
Besides technical knowledge, the suitable designer will also have a
strong handle on soft design skills such as an ability to produce a
strong visual identity and a high quality aesthetic for users. An
ability to work well with design constraints as well as a talent for
utilising suitable fonts, colour schemes and space to create visually
stunning web applications.
The designer will also be skilled with client liaison, time and task management within agency systems and standard practices.
Required Results
A successful UX/UI designer would be responsible for delivering the following results in this role:
Quantitative metrics that demonstrate how design improvements have
made a positive impact on customer growth. I.e. Improved retention,
utilisation, NPS.
Resolving useability problems and improving user interfaces both aesthetically and experientially.
Delivering practical designs that developers can build. This requires an understanding of the technical aspects of development.
Improving processes and increasing efficiency for design production.
Establishing and maintaining strong ongoing relationships with customers and internal teams.
Increasing client satisfaction with impressive design presentations, proposals and assessments.
