Software Engineer – DevOps (m/f/d) en Berlin

At i2x, we are building AI to help people improve the way they communicate. With focus on speech and text analysis, we are shaping the future of communication. We are looking for engaged and enthusiastic Software Engineers to join our DevOps team.

This is how we work

• We’re building a new product. This means: (almost) no legacy code or support! You’ll be joining us to shape i2x

• We like to keep teams small with a maximum of 4 engineers, where everyone is responsible for the development, deployment and operation

• We continuously improve the i2x product and bring our ideas to life

• We collaborate closely with engineers from other teams. They are all excellent and you’ll enjoy to further grow our teams vision with them

• We simply enjoy designing, developing and deploying scalable and highly available fault-tolerant backend services

Your profile

• Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
• Proficient Linux user
• Solid English communication skills

Must-Haves

• System design skills
• Experience working with Cloud infrastructure like AWS
• Experience with SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Understanding of the network stack, especially transport and application layer protocols
• Understanding of containerization both at theoretical and practical level, hands-on experience with Docker
• Comfortable writing Python

Nice-to-have

• Experience implementing RESTful, GraphQL APIs
• Proficiency with monitoring tools and frameworks
• Infrastructure automation with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet and / or Chef
• Familiarity with modern message streaming / message broker systems: Apache Kafka, Amazon Kinesis and / or Google Pub / Sub
