BCG Digital Ventures is building a new venture together with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), one of the world's largest conservation organizations - OpenSC. Based in Sydney and Berlin, OpenSC provides a new blockchain-enabled food tracking platform to facilitate responsible and ethical production and consumption as well as overall transparency.
The platform offers verification, traceability and sharing of data using cutting-edge technology. By empowering producers and consumers to track the supply chain of food production, consumers will be enabled to make conscious and ethical choices. Producers will be enabled to avoid illegal, environmental damaging or unethical products, and to improve supply chains and accountability. This way supply chains of all the commodities and products that currently drive the world’s greatest environmental and social impacts can be improved.

Responsibilities:
- Use state of the art technology to solve real problems for our customers
- Own the full life-cycle of your code
- Build robust Kotlin-based applications using Spring Boot
- Work closely with the CTO and engineering team to contribute and build up the OpenSC protocol and architecture
- Drive engineering best practices, share knowledge and mentor junior engineers
- Create, document and communicate solutions to the team
Requirements:
- Several years of experience in a (Fullstack-) engineering function (e.g.: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Kotlin, Spring Boot, React, etc.)
- Sound knowledge of developing APIs to expose functionality and data
- Interest in emerging technologies and technologies that may be outside of your comfort zone
- Ability to manage your workload and self-prioritize in an Agile working environment
- Experience in mentoring other team members
