To run a rapidly expanding network of hundreds of smartphone-activated electric vehicles, you have to have one of the deepest, most interesting technology stacks around. We need Engineers to own different aspects of our stack and help us keep up with the incredible demand for fast, fun, electric transportation. The better our technology gets, the more riders and vehicles we can support, the more cities we can serve, and the more we can shift transportation toward clean, electric power. Scoot is already the largest private electric transportation service in the US and will soon be one of the largest electric vehicle fleets in the world.

As a QA / Technical Support Engineer at Scoot, you will be a hands-on contributor, and improve Scoot daily.

Responsibilities:

Develop a strong understanding of our user and admin apps and our testing objectives
Execute test cases using existing tools and build/script new tools to perform testing/validation
Design and create manual and automated test conditions and scripts
Assist office staff with technical issues related to our software
Collaborate remotely our engineering team in San Francisco
Document, track and escalate software issues
Provide support during app deploys / rollouts
Document processes around testing / support

Requirements:

At least 3 years of experience in manual/automated testing
Familiarity with IoT / Cloud platforms
Understanding of UI principles
Ability to operate autonomously
Experience with scripting in any programming language (we primarily use Ruby and Javascript)
Ability to create, document and execute test cases
Fluency in both English and Spanish
Strong verbal/written communication skills

Experience with Jenkins or similar
Experience with Selenium or silimar
Understanding of Git / versioning tools
Understanding of RESTful web servers
