CoinAfrique is the leader of classified ads in french speaking
countries of west africa. Our platform allows hundreds of thousands of
users to sell and buy through our mobile apps (Android and iOS),
website, but also our chatbot and USSD service. We have strong and
sustainable growth of active user which raises new interesting
challenges for a backend developer.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for a smart python backend developer, with excellent
knowledge of Django and Flask frameworks to join our dev team and face
with us the challenges of a fast growing start-up.
If you already have experience with backend implementations tightly
integrated with cloud infrastructure, and if you can appreciate the
benefits and drawbacks of :
- an API centered architecture
- an event based infrastructure (pub/sub)
You will love working with us.
Ideally, you have prior experience with the implementation of Oauth and OpenAPI specs.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of micro-services deployed in a cloud environment.
We embrace devops practices to continously improve quality and
agility of the code we deliver. As such, you will contribute to enhance
the tools, test suites, monitoring and automation pipelines that your
code will impact.
Technologies:
Everyday, you will be using the following tools, so you should be familiar with them:

• MySQL / MariaDB
Communication:
You will be working with our mobile and front-end team based in
Dakar, and with our product team split between Dakar and Barcelona.
Basic understanding of french is a plus, but not mandatory.
English (writting and speaking) is mandatory.
The job is located in the heart of Barcelona (Corsega / Bruc).
