Principal Backend Developer en Barcelona

General Experience:
5+ years’ experience in Java/Backend development
Experience with design and implementation of instant messaging applications.
Able to work in a rapid and agile development environment with frequent deliveries.
Individual must be independent and not require a lot of direction. This person should be able to jump in and hit the ground running. They should have a good, positive, fun attitude.
Candidates should be prepared to provide code samples.

Skills & Requirements:
Solid Java experience.
Fluency with Rest APIs, clean architecture and testing.
Fluency in high concurrency, distributed systems.
An understanding of relational/nosql database schema design, queries, and optimization techniques.
Proficiency in AWS, linux, docker, networking and security. Experience with container orchestration using mesos or kubernetes is a plus.
Proficiency in unit and functional testing, continuous integration and deployment systems.
Experience with AI (Amazon EMR/Machine Learning/Elasticsearch, Apache Spark/Hadoop/Mahout/MLib/HBase/PredictionIO) is a plus.
