The project
Polymatica is a
Data Science and Visual Analytics platform with embedded intelligence
delivering results and insights at incredible scale and speed using the
latest technologies (OLAP cubes, Data Mining, In-Memory, CUDA).
We
are now building a new interface for Polymatica, designed to enable
business users to maximise value from their data to drive effective
decision making in a simple and effortless way using the latest UI
frameworks and libraries and pushing the boundaries of Big Data Software
Interfaces.
The role
We are
looking for a Lead Javascript Developer with an interest in Data Driven
interfaces and keen to grow in the Big Data and BI tools sector, to join
our new Interface team at the heart of Barcelona tech scene,
contributing to initial ideas, technologies choices, experimentations
and working closely with an expert team of designers and other engineers
on the frontend of the platform.
You will have the

data and are looking for a strong candidate with passion for trying new
things and continuous learning.
Requirements
- 7+ years experience in a javascript/frontend development role
- Fluent English
- Deep knowledge of client and server side Javascript – Angular, Redux, Node.js
- Solid experience with client side web applications – HTML5, CSS3, AJAX and RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with Highcharts, D3.js
- Using pull requests, code reviews and unit testing is a natural part of your work process
- Knowledge of Docker and experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Heroku
- Experience of continuous deployment and integration and unit tests
- Latest ECMAScript standard
- Experience with Git
- Ability to learn new tools and frameworks as needed
- Experience mentoring and managing junior devdelopers a plus
- Willingness to take ownership of components or services
- Experience of front-end build process: Webpack oriented code transpiling and minification
