Lead Java Developer en Barcelona

About Folio:

We’re a London & Barcelona based team building a mobile savings platform for the next generation.

We’re on the hunt for a skilled Java developer to work with our team from our Barcelona offices.

Key Responsibilities:

As a member of the Folio technology team and as a Java Engineer you’ll be responsible for:
- Ability to produce clean & well documented code
- Contributing to the overall system design and work on both up front and emergent design
- Building test automation to provide high coverage of all code under development, including TDD and integration testing
- Contributing to achieving continuous improvement within the standards and processes for the ongoing development
- Maintaining good relationships with the business, growth, and product teams as well as external partners
- Willingness to adopt to company culture and enthusiasm for learning new technologies
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, collaborative environment, working closely with product experts and adapting to evolving requirements

Required Experience & Skills:

- Java 8 (Functional Programming)
- Spring Framework / JEE
- JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock
- ORM (JPA, Hibernate, etc)
- Databases (MySql)
- DevOps practices and culture

As well as:

- Designing and developing RESTful API (Spring Rest, Swagger etc.)
- Distributed architecture (SOA, Microservices, Web Services etc.)
- Spring Boot, Spring Security
- JSON Web Tokens (JWT)
- Extensive work completed with AWS services (Elastic Beanstalk, S3, SES, SNS, SQS RDS, etc.)
- Jira, Git, Jenkins, BitBucket
- Agile development (Scrum)
- Continuous integration
- Cloud Infrastructure
- Continuous delivery and automation practices
- Working with Payment platform APIs (our platform is powered by Mangopay)

Bonus points for experience in:
- Containers (Docker etc.)
- NoSql
- PHP
