Lead Data Engineer with a focus on Cloud en Amsterdam

You are a pragmatic, seasoned data engineer who understands that the cloud is where most of the action will be for the coming years. You have worked with the services of AWS, Google Cloud or Azure and you understand and can explain their pros and cons. You know how to build serverless infrastructures, set up data pipelines, securely connect data-driven applications and run models in production. You like to explain your architecture to customers and enjoy testing and breaking your own setups.

Together with you we want to change the Dutch data landscape and propel it kicking and screaming into the twenty-first century. The GDD team you will be joining consists of experienced data engineers and data scientists, all of whom share a love for having an impact at customers and have helped to make a growing list of well-known companies and organisations become data driven.

This role is a senior postion with a central, coordinating role in our clients' teams, so we expect at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.

Preferred general knowledge and experience includes:

• Hands-on experience with using cloud services in production.
• Programming in scripting languages, e.g. Python, Groovy, Ruby
• Programming in a statically typed language, e.g. Java, Scala, C++
• Data management
• Complex Extract Transform Load (ETL) pipelines
• Productionising software and models
