Job Purpose
Coding to a high standard using a mix of PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. (and other technologies as appropriate.)
Responsible for the ongoing development of the fuseAware front-end
and back-end application in conjunction with the Head of Development.
To ensure that the back-end application meets the KPIs defined for
performance and uptime and that the code deployed is tested, reliable
and fit for purpose.
To take features written in scope documents or other briefs and implement them alongside iOS and Android developers.
To be part of a team driving the fuseAware application forward, by
contributing ideas for new features, approaches or technologies that can
benefit our users.
To assist the Head of Development in scoping planned work, with input into the estimating process where appropriate.

Qualifications
2.1 CS degree (or related field) or equivalent experience
Post-grad qualifications in CS or related field.
Knowledge and experience
Proven software development skills in an Agile environment.
Excellent PHP skills. 3+ years commercial experience, strong
object-oriented programming skills, experience of TDD, and a basic
understanding of SOLID design principles, MVC and other design patterns.
Modern JavaScript – ES2016+
Vue.js
Npm/yarn/webpack based build systems.
CSS3 and SASS
Twitter Bootstrap 3
Experience working with REST/JSON APIs.
Commercial experience with the Laravel framework.
Strong CSS/SASS skills, familiarity with Bootstrap.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience building REST/JSON APIs
Version control (git)
Comfortable working with Linux
Proficiency in other programming languages, particularly Swift/iOS development.
Knowledge of queuing systems (Beanstalk and Redis) and caching systems (Memcached)
