We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to provide sound
technical leadership in all aspects of our business. You will
communicate with employees, stakeholders and customers to ensure our
company’s technologies are used appropriately.
Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this
role. We expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends
and familiar with a variety of business concepts. You will bring in your
technical expertise to provide the best possible customer experience,
to grow the business and to find innovative solutions to business
challenges.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
• Management of the company as part of the leadership team with a focus on technology
• (Further) development and realization of the company's technology
and product strategy based on customer feedback and business
requirements
• Ensuring technologies are used efficiently, profitably and securely
• Set the tech-strategy of the company, define goals and roadmaps,
direct future growth and monitor KPIs in order to deliver the best
experience to customers
• Communicate tech-strategy to partners and investors
• Build mobile and backend applications together with the development team
• Lead and grow the development team
• Evaluating and implementing new systems and infrastructure
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE
• Proven experience as a CTO or a similar leadership role
• Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
• Understanding of budgets and business-planning
• Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
• Excellent communication skills
• Leadership and organizational abilities
• Strategic thinking
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum/Scrumban methodologies and frameworks
• Fluency in English
• Be based in Berlin or willing to relocate
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Experience with database design and operation (Postgres, Redshift, etc)
• Knowledge of Cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Built or worked on products with a significant amount of users
• Experience with MicroServices architecture
• Experience in building REST APIs
• Knowledge of Kubernetes
• Knowledge of CI/CD
