Scopely is looking for a talented Business Analyst to use market
data to inform decisions around our product strategy. The role is part
of the Business Development team, who are responsible for identifying
opportunities for new games to develop. The Business Analyst will use
market data to help shape our overall strategy and identify potential
opportunities for new games. They will also help our existing game teams
have a better understanding of market trends in order to optimize the
performance of their games. The role is based in Barcelona and reports
to the Director of Strategy, based in LA.
Responsibilities
Create
reports using market data to identify potential opportunities for the
Business Development team, including identifying potential developer
partners or license holders
Produce a range of regular and
ad-hoc actionable insights on market trends within mobile gaming, to
support decisions around our product roadmap
Analyze competitor public reports and financial statements
Classify competitor games by genre, to help understand overall market trends
Be
an expert in the latest trends impacting mobile games, and share
insights across the organization to help guide product roadmap decisions
Build processes to automate market reports
Undertake a range of ad-hoc strategic projects or analysis
Play a lot of games!
Qualifications
2+ years in a highly analytical role
Excellent analytical, critical, and strategic thinking skills
Advanced Excel skills, able to build complex models and analysis
Experience using SQL, and able to use Tableau or similar analytical tools
Experience building and automating standardized reports
Excellent
written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly communicate
complex ideas or analysis to senior execs or product leaders
Highly organized and proactive, with an ability to get work done quickly and at a high standard
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and take on a range of ad-hoc projects
Able to work independently and take the initiative to solve problems while working with people based in a different time zone
Strong interest in gaming
Fluent English is a must have
