Want to build up your professional experience by working with an experienced team on a modern tech stack? Join Picker! We're looking for a motivated Backend Lead to architect and work on our Serverless Cloud setup on AWS/Azure. We use GraphQL, Lambdas, MySQL, ElasticSearch, MongoDB and Algolia to deliver data to our Mobile Apps and Website. We love TypeScript and try to use best practices as it pertains to DDD and testing!
You
- have a proven track record of working as a Senior Developer on backend teams in a mentoring and architecting role.
- like to mentor team members and help grow them into good contributors in a dev team.
- are a strong team player, love to collaborate and build systems that make peoples' lives easier.
- have experience working on AWS as a cloud provider and have touched the various common services provided (e.g. Lambda, S3, SQS, Cloudfront)
- have a 'full stack' mindset - you have your expertise but you can help out anywhere to get the job done.
- have a keen desire to learn and grow with a company.
Job Requirements
- Fluent in English
- 5+ years professional programming experience
- Strong with today's popular backend languages (preferably TypeScript/Javascript but not a dealbreaker)
- Strong database experience (MySQL/Document DBs)
- Ability to architect cloud services end to end
Nice to have
Experience in:
- TypeScript DDD experience
- Serverless plugin experience
