Android Developer (6 month contract, with extension option) en Barcelona

We’re looking for an Android Developer with strong experience developing scalable and reliable Android apps.

What you will do:

• Develop new features and fix bugs for the SocialDiabetes Android app

• Work closely with Backend Engineers to deploy exciting new API features

• Work with the Design team to design and wireframe modern interfaces

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant full-time experience

• You are a strong software architect and well versed in design patterns

• Hacking communication protocols is your hobby

• Expert knowledge of BLE and protocols

• Restful / WebServices APIs

• The world Git rings a bell or two

• Knowledge of Material Design Guidelines

• Experience working with libraries like Android Architecture Components, ROOM, Rxjava2, MPAndroidChart, Butterknife, Picasso, among others

• Able to work under pressure and meet objectives against tight deadlines

• Fluent in Spanish and English

Nice to have:

• Previous experience working in projects related to eHealth and/or diabetes

• You´re willing to put yourself in the “shoes” of our users with diabetes to deliver an outstanding product

• Experience working with Agile methodologies
