Job Description

Who are we looking for?

Casumo is looking for a seasoned WordPress developer with a solid foundation in web development and web security in general. You will be working close with our digital marketing team with a strong focus on SEO. You are an open minded problem solver that loves learning new things and are happy to share that knowledge with your colleagues.

You are

  • Someone who has built both themes and plugins for the WordPress CMS.
  • Aware of WordPress security pitfalls and know how to follow best practices to ensure a solid security setup.
  • Have basic knowledge in Frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JS/ES6).
  • Someone who likes to work in a flat organization.
  • A person with at least 5 years of experience from a similar role.
  • Always approachable for technical questions and support.
  • Reliable and taking pride in maintaining larger long-term projects.
  • Organized and used to work on several parallel tracks.
  • A person with good English communications skills.
  • Understands the technical and on-page aspects of implementation from an SEO standpoint
  • Stays up to date with latest SEO trends and search engine announcements

As a WordPress Developer with a Passion for SEO at Casumo you will:

  • Help out with developing WordPress themes and plugins for marketing websites.
  • Implement SEO optimizations on WordPress-based websites.
  • Do ongoing development on our RESTful web API for orchestration and the corresponding user interface using Node.js, JavaScript/ES6, Sass and HTML.
  • Make sure the delivery speed and resource consumption of our web servers and databases is staying as low as possible by using Nginx and Varnish.
  • Building high converting landing pages and running A/B tests on them together with our SEO team.
