Job Description

Are you a VP of Security experienced with both Information Security and Information Technology? Are you a VP of Information Security & IT interested in a high-impact leadership role within a mobile games startup?

Scopely is the leading mobile touch-screen entertainment startup in LA and we are looking for a VP of Information Security & IT to join our team. You should have a past history of strong leadership experience, driving and implementing company-wide security and technology programs.

As the primary InfoSec and IT leader at Scopely, you will oversee all management, operations, strategy, direction, growth and execution of both the IT and Security functions at Scopely. As Scopely operates heavily with cloud-vendors, we see a blurring of the lines between IT and Security and it’s important that you be able to bridge these two worlds in an increasingly connected and SAAS-oriented technology landscape. You will be setting the direction and culture for Scopely’s security & IT principles, practices and standards, reporting directly to the CTO.

What you will do:

    • Oversee the key areas of security at Scopely including Information Security, Application Security (e.g. mobile, API, fraud, pen-testing), Network security, Data Security and Corporate Security
    • Lead security programs at Scopely
    • Oversee the development or design of key security-related technology such as our “Security SDKOversee “Privacy By Design” GDPR initiatives
    • Manage the key areas of IT operations such as: Asset management, asset requisition, provisioning, on-boarding and A/V functions
    • Lead the design, planning and execution of key IT initiatives, ex. video conferencing solutions
    • Work with security to achieve employee audit and compliance
    • Supervise IT technology including networking, VPN, device management, corporate technology such as G Suite, JIRA, etc.

What you will need:

    • Demonstrated experience leading, managing and building a high-performing security organization
    • Experience with cloud-based platforms, e.g. AWS, GCP, GSuite
    • Deep knowledge of information security governance policy
    • Previous experience managing large-scale security programs, e.g. penetration testing, bug bounties, etc.
    • Experience managing security and IT software
    • Experience with Network Security, Corporate Security, Application Security
    • Experience with Incident Response and Forensic activities
    • Expert-level understanding of today’s IT threat landscape and information security architectures, as well as applicable laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks
    • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISSLP, or CISSP-ISSMP
