We are looking for talented UI/UX Interns from a variety of backgrounds and interests to join our Kingdom. Our UX Designers work embedded in multi- disciplinary teams on a wide range of experiences, from game teams delivering extraordinary "play" experiences to our millions of players to marketing teams leveraging our owned media products and channels to internal tech teams developing cutting edge tools that keep our Kingdom running. They act as a bridge between team disciplines, helping King understand and meet player needs and business needs by applying user- centered design and allowing teams to understand who they are designing for and how to deliver engaging experiences that will deliver real business impact.

Your role within our Kingdom

UX Design - Marketing (Opportunities in Barcelona)

Our UX Designers work embedded in multi- disciplinary teams to envision, design and scale a wide range of bold and innovative end- to- end experiences to our millions of players globally. They are the link between disciplines, encouraging King to understand and exceed the needs of our players and business through user- centred design methodologies and an obsession for our players. Everything we do is inspired by people and measured by engaging experiences that will deliver real business impact.

Our intern roles are very versatile, and you should prepare to take on a variety of activities. From obtaining insights to defining problems to be solved. Understanding constraints to the holistic mapping of player journeys. To rapid ideations and validations with real people on which solutions suit the business and player needs.

UI/UX Design - Game Engine team (Opportunities in Barcelona)

Join us and create the tools that we use to make the world’s best mobile games!

You will be working with an incredible group of engineers to continuously improve our amazing internal game engine to give game teams a faster, more intuitive and enjoyable way to create brilliant experiences for our players.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of user centered design processes, as well as good knowledge of visual design principles and user interface best practices. Collaborate with our Product Manager, UX designers and developers to execute all UX related deliverables.

Develop end- to- end solutions, from exploration, research and conceptualisation to interaction and final end user interface designs. Create wires, user flows and prototypes based on user feedback to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.

UI/UX Design - Studio (Opportunities in London)

Our UI/UX Designers work on the effective and optimized, visually appealing user interface systems. We team up with other disciplines inside and outside of the production teams to contribute to the aesthetic appeal of the game and to design, iterate, test, implement and analyze experiences and interfaces that will delight our players. You will learn how to fuse visual aesthetics, usability, and technical implementation into an accessible tool for our players to control the game. You will also get involved in projects such as: creating UX specs for new events, wireframes, screen flows and prototypes to help understand how the event is connected with other game features and helping to create a UX library (e.g. defining design patterns and making sure they are consistent across the game).

UI Design - Studio (Opportunities in Berlin)

Our UI Designers create fun, engaging and beautiful experiences for millions of players to enjoy. They don't only craft catchy and appealing interfaces but also put themselves in the players’ shoes, coming up with designs that fulfil their expectations and give them a delightful game experience. We are looking for creative talent with skills in User Interface Design for mobile games and the ability to create visually appealing, user- friendly and consistent interfaces (e.g. UI layouts, menus, buttons, icons and animation). Knowledge of Adobe CS package is a plus for this role.

UI/Game Art - Studio (Opportunities in London)

Our UI/Game Artists create engaging and beautiful experiences for millions of players to enjoy. They bring UX flows to life with visually appealing aesthetics (think beautiful colours and shapes) and collaborate with other artists, developers and designers to create & enhance features for our game.

We are looking for creative talents who want to develop their skills in User Interface Design and Game Art for mobile games and who have the ability to create visually appealing art assets (e.g. menus, buttons, icons, animation, illustration).

Knowledge of Adobe CS and Photoshop is a must, and successful candidates will show their potential with a portfolio that demonstrates an understanding of art fundamentals (e.g. icon design, colour theory, shape language and graphic design).
