We are looking for a Test Engineer to join our team to bolster and
improve our testing capabilities. You will have proven experience
devising Quality Assurance strategies according to project requirements
and ensuring that our software meets the highest standards of quality.
You’ll help to share the workload and responsibility for defining
acceptance criteria, hardening new application features, developing
automated tests, conducting manual exploratory testing and confirming
that no regressions have been introduced during development.
You’ll have hands on experience of deployment toolsets including
Ansible and Docker, be familiar with Linux, preferably on CentOS, know
how cloud server platforms work and have excellent scripting skills to
help bring all components of our continuous integration, deployment and
server provisioning strategy together.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone who’s spent time honing
their bug detecting skills, who knows the way they would want to test a
product that needs to run everywhere from cars to servers, and to be
given the role that lets them do just that.
About you
Essential Skills:
– Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum concepts, principles and
artefacts such as Product Backlogs, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
– Strong analytical skills to derive test cases from requirements
– Experience of unit testing, system testing, regression testing and test automation
– Experience developing robust, extensible test automation systems
– Experience testing local applications and web APIs
– Experience coding in scripting languages like PHP, Python or Bash
– Experience using git or another distributed version control system, and a collaborative versioning tool like Github
– Experience with tools that facilitate Agile ways of working such as Pivotal Tracker or JIRA
You will have:
– Excellent communication skills with perfect spoken and written English
– The ability to talk to techies and non-techies in suitable language
– A passion for development and staying current with technology trends
– The ability to work both independently and with others
– A focus on high quality software engineering work and attention to detail
– The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
