Job Description

This role will be centred around global technical SEO management and can be based in either Barcelona, London or Munich.  Reporting to the Head of SEO this position requires a strong strategic focus and in-depth technical skills.

We are looking for a highly intelligent, charismatic and creative thinking individual who is passionate about websites, front-end code and has a keen interest in SEO. You will act as an expert on all technical SEO matters and thought leader within the SEO community, keeping on top of new industry trends. While the main focus of this role will be to provide strategic technical direction for all lm group domains, we’d also like you to assist in the development of the wider SEO team.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be the go-to person in the SEO team when it comes to analytics, reporting, modifying websites and resolving technical issues on our sites. You should have superior technical, organisational and time management skills as you will be expected to be able to work on balancing multiple projects at any one time keeping to tight deadlines.

You will work closely with our in-house development teams and other key stakeholders within the business.

Skills and Experience

  • Own and be responsible for all technical SEO projects across all lm group domains, ensuring objectives and deadlines are met
  • Review and assist the SEO team with detailed technical SEO recommendations including optimised website architecture, internal link structure, server and CMS requirements and other factors at scale
  • Creation of clear requirement documentation that developers, designers and technical teams can easily understand and digest
  • Provide SEO strategy and advanced SEO techniques to your work
  • Take this expertise and relay it via thought leadership to internal team members
  • Support and contribute to the development of the tech roadmap
  • Possess the ability to fully research cutting edge topics and apply them to our websites
  • Direct line manage a part of the technical SEO team, growing and developing team members
  • Train internal SEO members as well as other teams on technical SEO topics
  • Experience in Log analysis
  • Develop SEO A/B tests

Qualifications

  • 5 years experience of working in the SEO industry
  • 1 year experience in holding a SEO management position
  • Professional experience and knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or R
  • Advanced knowledge of SEO tools such as Google Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, Oncrawl, Sistrix and AWR
  • Experience in establishing key relationships at a senior level
  • Good knowledge of web servers and website architecture
  • Ability to develop and code websites
  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to present complex subjects in understandable terms to multiple audiences
  • Ability to perform in a collaborative fast‐paced workplace
  • Experience working within an international environment
