The Gameloft Barcelona studio, behind the mobile gaming hits Despicable Me: Minion Rush and Asphalt 9: Legends and it's new cross-platform title Disney Speedstorm, is looking for a talented Technical Animator who can inspire and guide teams in creating outstanding visual showcases for our games.

Job Description
- Work with the Animation Lead to achieve the highest quality for the animations.
- Design, set up and maintain the animation networks and blend trees and give support to the teams using those.
- Get actively involved with the other departments to improve the animation pipeline.
- Help the animation team meet Designers requests for the gameplay of the game.
- Be at the forefront of animation debugging in the game engine.
- Setup animation metadata in the game engine such as characters or cinematic scripts.
- Take care of tasks with complex technical dependencies like environment animations.
- Contribute effectively to the art pipeline and target platform constraints.
- Meet project deadlines and milestones as set by project leads.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Passion for videogames.
- Knowledge of:
- Animation principles.
- Industry standard animation engines such as Unity, Unreal.
- Understanding of video game boundaries for animation.
- Advanced knowledge of animation trees, partial and additive systems, retargeting, physics-driven animation.
- Proved understanding of animation 3D packages (3D Studio Max, Maya).
- Good communication skills and a proactive, open-minded mindset.
Assets
- Experience in a similar role.
- Several shipped titles.
- Rigging and skinning skills.
- Scripting skills (Python, MaxScript, MEL…).
- Basic animation skills.
- Fluent level of English.
