WHAT WE NEED
We are trying to embrace the SRE philosophy that pushes forward the "old"
sysadmin skill set. This means maintaining the platform as stable as possible,
automate all the things, gather all the useful metrics and trigger automated
responses to critical (and not so critical) events. To accomplish this we need
an individual with deep Linux knowledge, bare metal and virtualization experience,
able to handle pressure & stress, and finally with good coding actitude
(configuration management, scripting or even "real" programming).
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
You will join two already present system engineers to ensure Billy remains as
stable as possible while we are growing up. You will study, propose and deploy
new infrastructures and technology, improve the current ones and maintain the
legacy infra til its death. We are an agile shop, so be prepared to quick
(but controlled) changes. You will automate everything that makes sense automating,
ensuring that everybody can benefit from your work. You will continue to learn new
things almost every day and teach some of them to others Billies, attend conferences
etc etc Besides work, you would be joining a vibrant environment of mind-alike
hardworking people, for whom not all is about work. It's also about leasure and
team building, barbecues, nights out... you name it!
