Job Description

We are looking for a talented Software Test Engineer to join our growing team in Madrid. Pix4D develops drone mapping and photogrammetry software that enables thousands of professionals around the world to produce 3D models and maps purely from images.


You will have the exciting opportunity to join a multinational team working on the development of innovative solutions for photogrammetry. You will collaborate with product owners, experienced software engineers, drone pilots and domain experts to ensure that the product is released at the highest quality. Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement the product’s test strategy in order to meet customer needs. You will also take a coordinative role in evaluating and prioritizing defects.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement automated tests for our mobile Pix4Dscan product.
  • Develop and implement tests and tools to increase drone field sessions efficacy.
  • Improve our release cycles.
  • Identify relevant test scenarios and data sets to capture the variance in input data and increase our test coverage.
  • Maintain and execute existing test plans.
  • Collaborate with other QA engineers within the company.
  • Answer internal queries about the team APIs, limitations, knowledge, etc. with the support of the team.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
  • Stay up-to-date with new test tools and test strategies.

Requirements

  • Experience in testing desktop software.
  • Programming/scripting experience in Python.
  • Proven work experience in a software test engineer role or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
  • Excellent bug reporting and tracking skills.
  • Proficient English language skills, written and spoken.
  • Perfect fit with Pix4D’s spirit: passionate, positive, collaborative and respectful attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills to work autonomously.


Desirable

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process;
  • Experience working in the geospatial or GIS industry;
  • Knowledge of Squish.
