Software Quality Assurance Engineer in Barcelona

We are looking for a talented and meticulous Quality Assistance Engineer to join our team. At AtlaSense, we believe what makes the difference between good and amazing software is our QA team. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving quality, speeding up development time, and launching beautiful, scalable, reliable and highly functional web applications.

Job Duties

• Assess, document and mitigate risks, defects, questionable functions, errors and inconsistencies
• Perform exploratory and automated testing to improve processes
• Draft and contribute towards procedures for program design and testing
• Review logs and reports to identify processing errors and potential improvements
• Recommend improvements or revisions to development team
• Coordinate testing by users and third parties
• Assist users in isolating possible software issues after implementation
• Monitor platform performance after implementation
• Establish benchmarks for software efficiency
• Document, track and report test plans and results, as well as analysis and unresolved problems
• Work closely with developers and infrastructure engineers to design, analyze and implement functional requirements
• Deliver high quality products on time and with minimal supervision
• Provide support as needed
• Be part of a dynamic and fun team that gets it done

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
• Quality Assurance/Testing experience, particularly within Big Data industry (5+ years)
• Experience with QA testing tools
• Experience with SQL and demonstrated understanding of database systems
• Knowledge of Javascript, HTML, Python, Java, ElasticSearch
• Experience with web application security
• Demonstrated experience in Unix and Git version control
• English fluency, both written and verbally, is a must

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with NoSQL databases
• Experience with distributed scalable systems
• Elasticsearch
• Amazon Web Services or other cloud computing platforms
• Experience processing very large data sets
