We are looking for an energetic and curious Software Engineer to join Scytl’s Research and Security team. If you are fond of security and cryptography and an excellent software developer with the ability to deliver an accurate and timely output within a research-focused and dynamic environment, you are the person that we are in the hunt for.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer Intern at the R&S Department, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Implement proofs of concept aimed at enhancing Scytl’s election modernization products (internet voting, results consolidation, e-democracy platforms, etc.) with cutting-edge technologies.
  • Contribute to the departments’ on-going research and innovation projects, including with programming, testing and maintenance of software applications.
  • Bring new ideas for projects.

Requirements

  • Pursuing graduate studies in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience developing in Java and Javascript.
  • Basic knowledge of cryptography and security.
  • Hungriness and motivation to learn new technologies.
  • Good command of English.

Extra points for:

  • Experience working with Eclipse or similar.
  • Experience with cloud environments (Amazon, OpenStack…)
  • Knowledge of Javascript and related frameworks and tools.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
