Mission

Software engineers are responsible for developing and building IT solutions, Engineers install and configure solutions, implement reusable components, translate technical requirements, code software, assist with all stages of test data, develop interface stubs and simulators and perform script maintenance and updates

General Characteristics

  • Develop custom software over packaged solutions or internal IP solutions. Typically work in Java and JavaScript technologies, and to some extent with other programming languages such as HTML, Python or React.
  • Build automated deployments of applications and system configurations.
  • Support the evolution of the architecture landscape and the usage and integration of specific Cloud services.
  • Provide direct server support during various operations such as deployment and general production.
  • Design, implement and test agreed-upon infrastructures.
  • Work over product backlogs where requests coming from operations and product teams are prioritized.

Calificaciones

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
  • Typically has 3 to 5 years of systems programming experience.
  • Experience in DevOps software development lifecycle (2 years minimum).

Competencies

  • Demonstrable profficiency in developing custom software in Java and distributed application environments.
  • Experience working with document management tools such as Captiva, Exstream or Infoarchive.
  • Solid experience and expertise across source control tools, continuous integration tools and team management tools.
  • Strong background in systems automation.
  • Integration of end-to-end solutions into complex IT landscapes. Experience in developing and managing APIs (knows most common standards and formats: REST, XML, WSDL, JSON and SOAP) is desired.
  • Experience at AWS Architecture, valuable “AWS Certified DevOps Engineer” certification. Strong knowledge of cloud environments, with usage of modern patters like infrastructure as code or ephemeral servers.
