Who we are...

WIREWAX is an award-winning London and New York-based technology company that powers the world’s interactive video content. We enable hundreds of brands such as Disney, Ted Baker, and Dulux to push the creative boundaries of audience engagement and interaction.  Our core service, WIREWAX Studio, uses Artificial Intelligence to automatically identify every face and object in a video so users can create touchable hotspots, content overlays and video branches designed to tell engaging stories.

The Studio is a SaaS platform, but we also have an in-house Creative Solutions team who collaborate directly with ad agencies and brand clients on unique interactive projects. We’re a very ambitious outfit: our mission is to make video as connected as everything else on the internet, and it’s a mission which is opening up exciting new possibilities for our entire team.


About the role…

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our team to support our Computer Vision efforts, from scoping out solutions to building tools and applications. You will cover various platforms and environments but the consistent thread is producing high quality code and having high-level input in the design and implementation of these products.

There are a wealth of exciting opportunities to explore and difficult problems to solve within our team. You will have a chance to be part of our Computer Vision/Machine Learning team to further develop our platform.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about transferring the latest research to a tool used by many. We constantly add new functionalities to our system to make the process of creating attractive and engaging interactive video experience.


What you will do as our Software Engineer, Computer Vision...

  • Research and develop exciting new Computer Vision applications

  • Contribute your coding skills to new internal and external products and tools

  • Perform code reviews and care about code quality, while also iterating quickly

  • Collaborating with the studio team to develop research ideas into customer-facing products

  • Design, build and maintain research datasets

  • Create a robust, lasting, and scalable product

Requirements

Our ideal team member will have the following skills & experience:

  • MSc/MEng in a relevant field and industry experience in Computer Vision or Machine Learning.

    • PhD a bonus.

  • Hands on experience with Python.

    • Modern C++ a bonus.

  • Experience of working on collaborative coding projects with a large code base and version control software such as Git.

  • Comfortable working with Linux, bash scripting, AWS infrastructure and NoSQL databases.

  • Strong background in at least one between the following research areas:

    • Model free target tracking

    • Face detection/recognition/tracking

    • Object detection/redetection/recognition

    • Multimodal video and audio content analysis

    • Deep learning/Neural networks

    • Natural Language Processing

  • Knowledge of the breadth of state of the art methods in Computer Vision and Machine Learning.

  • Enthusiasm for developing flexible solutions to open-ended problems.

  • Ability to self-drive engineering projects, think at scale and rapidly prototype proof-of-concept software.
