Job Description

Omnidrone is a rapidly-growing start-up partnered with top US publisher Scopely to make the next generation of hit mobile games. Based in the heart of Barcelona with the Mediterranean and the Sagrada Familia on either side, Omnidrone is bringing together the best and brightest game makers in the world to create unforgettable player experiences.

Omnidrone combines the agility and evolving experience of a startup with the security and intelligence of an established developer via Scopely's intimate and complete publishing partnership.

Our game leadership team has worked on and run some of the most successful mobile franchises in history and has brought their experiences from top California developers to Barcelona, mixing in with the local dev culture to create a fresh, ambitious, and international development mindset. There's nothing like it happening in Europe.

Would you like to work with a grand team of games professionals, making a cute cartoony casual game?

What are we looking for?
  • You're able to create great concept sketches and eventually turn the designs into finished game-UI assets, ready to deliver.
  • You see yourself participating in the creation of UI artistic style that fits the product overall visual line.
  • You have experience in creating art with game limitations in size and in dealing with other restrictions related to game development.
  • You know UI best practices, both in theory and in application.
  • You're already a professional, but you still seek to grow your skills. And you want to help others around you to do so too.
  • If so, please keep on reading!
What will you do?
  • Participate in creating a new world-class IP.
  • Create in-game UI from concept sketches to final assets.
  • Concept, iterate and define, to reach an astonishing final quality.
  • Participate in all game-art creation by giving your opinions, ideas and constructive criticism to help your
  • artist colleagues with their tasks. Also receive their feedback, which will help you to push your own work into new heights.
  • Communicate with the Art Team, Lead Artist, Producer and peers from the other game departments.
What will you need?
  • Bachelor's degree in Arts or a related field is a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in the arts sector.
  • 3+ years of experience in art for video games.
  • Attention to detail, meticulous and organised working habits.
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator or comparable image-editing software.
  • Excellent understanding of colour, typography, iconography, composition and other basic art theory and skills.
  • Good command of English and Spanish.
  • Experience in working with Unity or a similar game engine is a plus.
  • Passion for games, and cute-casual art styles are a big plus!
  • Valid permanent work permit for Spain is a must!
