As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work as part of a distributed self-organizing team in close collaboration and regular communication with other team members and upstream developers. You'll need to be passionate about building out the open source cloud. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.

What you will do

  • Make a positive impact on the OpenStack TripleO project upstream, guiding the integration of new Nova features
  • Ensure that customers using Nova can use new features in an intuitive and scalable form
  • Provide a last line of expertise for production issues in customer deployments
  • Cooperate with other engineering teams and also with DevOps and Quality Engineering

What you will bring

  • 3+ years of development or deployment experience
  • Technical knowledge of virtualization technology (preferably KVM) and OpenStack products (especially TripleO and Nova projects) as a developer or deployment engineer
  • Good knowledge of Linux environment; experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is a big plus
  • Experience deploying complex distributed systems at scale, particularly in the context of a DevOps team
  • Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes (Go programming)
