As (Senior) Data Platform Engineer in the Data Platform Team you will be responsible for improvement and development of our Data Platform, especially in the fields like Data Platform, Data Democratization, Data Quality.
In this role you will:
- Contribute to architecting and building out a flexible self service data platform
- Develop complex and efficient pipelines to transform raw data sources into powerful, reliable components of our data platform
- Drive cross-team initiatives showing leadership and influencing others to achieve a common goal
- Work together with Business Intelligence, Analytics, and the whole Engineering department to ensure high data quality
- Be a driver of innovation and scalability for Data Ingestion, Data Storage and Data Consumption
- Establish Data Catalog, Search & Discovery features for the users of the Data Platform
- Make technical reviews and documentation
- Help define the team’s roadmap by constantly being in touch with our stakeholders
- Mentor more junior engineers to help them grow, making us better as a team
Your skills:
- 4+ years of relevant practical experience in data engineering
- 2+ years of relevant practical experience in data lake
- Cloud experience (AWS preferred)
- Advanced Python skills
- Advanced SQL skills
- Experience with stream-processing (Kafka) - an advantage
