Join a fast-growing portfolio of consumer digital media properties that totals 30 million users per month. We are looking for a talented Android  developer possessing a passion of pushing mobile technologies to the limits and will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications. This role is based in our Barcelona Office.


You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of Android devices including mobile phones, watches and tablet computers. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with backend services. You will be alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, if you have a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design and creation of quality products are essential we want to speak with you.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Playing an active role on the decisions of the product you’d be working on.

  • Collaborating with teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Developing new features following Clean Architecture and MVP.

  • Discovering, evaluating and implementing new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

  • Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

  • Bug fixing and improving application performance.



What you will need to be successful:

  • Being fluent in written and spoken English is a must.

  • 1+ years publishing with Kotlin.

  • Java programming background.

  • Ability to translate complex UX designs to real UI interfaces.

  • University degree in Computer Science, or similar.

  • Proven software development experience and Android skills development

  • Have published at least one app on Google Play.

  • Experience with Android SDK.

  • Familiarity with asynchronous programming (Kovenant or RxJava, for example)

  • Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON

  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs

  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies

  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
