Job Description
We are delighted to be looking for a Senior 2D Artist to join one of our largest and most successful games. We are looking for a strong hands-on artist able to collaborate with a team of incredibly talented artists and animators working on a huge Socialpoint IP. Role Responsibilities
- Explore and develop ideas into inspiring concepts.
- Able to follow and develop briefings under an art direction as well as maintaining the visual style of the game.
- Participate actively with the design and art teams to create unique and innovative solutions for visual problems.
- Acts as a mentor for other artists, providing training in technical, artistic and industry knowledge.
- Write detailed art briefings and provide feedback to external vendors and freelancers
- Create and communicate ideas for new art pipelines and tools.
- Collect all department knowledge and keep it up to date
- Produce comprehensive guidelines and extensive documentation to elevate art production quality
- Ensure and facilitate communication with other departments
- Assist the lead while creating plannings and roadmaps through task time estimations
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- High level of English, both written and spoken (English is our official language!)
- +3 years + of experience in the gaming industry.
- Expert knowledge of photoshop and a high capacity to learn new tools.
- Extensive knowledge of art fundamentals such as composition, color theory, values, form, silhouette and shapes.
- Able to receive and articulate constructive feedback
- Able to provide and validate all (quality and technical) aspects of Art
- Highly organized and able to act rationally and professionally under pressure.
- Experienced collaborating with external vendors and outsourcing partners.
- Highly proactive, self-driven and customer focused
- Great team player and always with a smile.
- Previous team/task management experience will be a bonus
