Position Overview

Scytl is looking for an experienced content and social media manager to contribute to disseminate on our innovation achievements. In this position you will work closely with the Research and Security team to create innovative direct marketing campaigns including webinars, email, events, printed materials and online newsletters, etc. to highlight Scytl’s commitment with research, innovation and digital-lead social change.

This position is ideal for a hands-on individual who can take projects from concept to implementation and has a proven track record of simultaneously managing and delivering multiple successful communication campaigns.

In this position you will contribute to the tasks of several teams, including research, innovation and marketing, including with external partners, and thus requires skills in project management, cross-team collaboration, and excellent analytical skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • You will be a core member of the Scytl Research and Security Department and advise your team on innovative and enticing programs to communicate their achievements on research and innovation, including with increasing traffic and leads to our website(s) and social media accounts.
  • Coordinate the dissemination and exploitation of Scytl’s H2020 projects: coordinate with external partners to decide on dissemination strategies, editorial lines; select, edit and upload content provided by our international partners; and publish them.
  • Use a mix of email, social media, (e)newsletters, printed materials, webinars and event-based campaigns to communicate and disseminate our results and engage public discussion on their social value.
  • Occasionally draft, proof-read and/or translate articles on our projects, participation in international events, etc. Coordinate the provision of communication services (website, translations) by external service providers if required;
  • Set up and maintain a database of stakeholders from public sector, academia, civil society, with whom to share on our achievements and successful stories.
  • Analyse campaigns and programs for effectiveness; conduct marketing programs and report on dissemination and exploitation activities, in line with the requirements of EU-funded projects.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience;
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, Sociology or Law;
  • Excellent communication and editing skills, with a proven ability to write for a broad audience;
  • A storyteller with track record experience in summarising content (news, policy documents, and research) and connecting it with other relevant developments;
  • Excellent English;
  • Digital savvy;

Desirable

  • Previous experience in dissemination and exploitation of H2020 projects;
  • Fluency in other European languages (Spanish, French, German, etc.) is a plus;
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, Content Management Systems;
  • Interest/experience with graphic design (infographics).
  • Interest/experience on digital democracy, citizens participation, electoral affairs;
