Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer (m/f) in Berlin

Your role

• You review business requirements, functional requirements and technical specifications of current software development projects
• You create, review, update and execute automation scripts as required for development, debugging efforts, and regression activity for regular releases
• You support the CPO in product feature and design and discussions and create and document knowledge base
• You support the production deployment with testing and issue resolution - you structure bug reporting, bug tracking, bug classification & prioritization
• You collaborate with CTO to define quality process improvements, best practices, and leveraging metrics to ensure QA effectiveness
• You mentor the Web Development team members on testing and automation solutions
• You participate in product backlog grooming, story sizing activities while clarifying acceptance criteria
• You convert requirements and specifications into written test plans, test cases, and occasionally test scripts
• You define and execute test automation roadmap to reduce manual testing effort

Your profile

• You have at least 2-4 years of experience in a similar role (QA analyst, QA engineer) on web applications (preferably e-commerce industry)
• You are experienced with automation testing frameworks (e.g. Selenium)
• You have knowledge in at least one object oriented programming or scripting language (e.g. PHP, Python, Java) is a plus
• You are eperienced with testing highly scaling responsive websites
• You bring along knowledge of common browsers, operation systems, devices and their characteristics, limitations and compatibility
• You have a passion for writing detailed and thorough test cases
• You are a logic and solution driven thinking and work accurate, precise and sustainable manner
• You are an  independently working team player willing to create a well working testing infrastructure from scratch
• You are fluent in English, German is a plus
