Job description

We are looking for a Specialist QA, to be the guardian of Fluendo's Quality to make sure that all software that our projects deliver is of the highest possible quality. A large part of this is done through extensive testing of the systems we deliver, but your responsibilities don’t stop there.

Responsibilities

• Work in our multimedia stack built on top of the Open Source GStreamer framework
• Be involved in all of our projects creating and executing functional and technical tests to track improvements in our products
• Define and implement automated tests
• Be part of the entire software development lifecycle
• Execute tests and raise defects if the results aren’t as expected
• Report on test results and identified defects
• Adhere to industry quality and safety standards
• Ensure products meet customer expectations and demands
• Work closely with the development team to improve our products

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Informatics or Computer/Telecommunications Engineering Degree or similar.
• From 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role (more years of expierence is a plus)
• Solid experience with the Atlassian Suite (JIRA/Confluence/Xray)
• Familiarity with Git (or CVS)
• You know how to test code and design it with that in mind
• Experience with Python and Pytest
• Experience developing test automation
• Good level of English (written and spoken)
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Proactive and learner attitude
• Goal-oriented person with exeptional eye for detail

Nice to have:

• A lot of experience with C, C++, SQL
• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level
• Familiarity with agile SW development models, e.g. Kanban, Scrum
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and systems, e.g. Jenkins, Github Actions
• Familiarity with Docker
