Job Description

The Role

As Project Manager, this role is responsible to plan, organize and control all the different aspects of Digital Telco Experience projects, in close cooperation with the Tech Leads and Product Managers.

The responsibilities are listed below but not limited to:

  • Scope (definition, verification and change control).

  • Time Schedule.

  • Costs Budget.

  • Risk Handling (identification, qualification, mitigation).

  • Quality Assurance and Control.

  • Communication (both internal and external).

  • Procurement of necessary HW/SW and services provided by internal technical units and external service partners.

  • Stakeholder identification, management and engagement.

  • Lead the project human resources by means of a strong team-building approach.

The Person

PMOs act as a focal point in the organisation, interacting and building relationships inside and outside the business, leading the project team, interfacing with senior managers, third parties, Telefonica OBs, and other Telefonica Global organizations.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience managing projects for OBs (plus of 5 year of experience)

  • Experienced leading agile projects

  • Excellent prioritisation and coordination skills with the ability to work to multiple deadlines under pressure.

  • Be logical and methodical paying attention to detail but with big picture orientation

  • Possesses ability to produce clear, concise reporting that accurately synthesises information.

  • Strong team player.

  • Delivery and support orientation.

  • Excellent organisational skills ensuring delivered projects meet design specifications and quality standards and get completed in a timely manner.

  • Good interpersonal skills and able to negotiate and deal with conflict effectively.

  • Great problem solving skills.

  • Self-motivated and adaptable.

  • Comfortable working at a rapid pace with changing priorities - Able to work in a high pressure, performance focussed environment.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to manage effective relationships with Stakeholders operating across the organization by using their influence.

  • Good negotiation skills.

  • Consulting approach.

Desirable also:

  • PMP certification

  • Agile methodologies certifications

  • Leadership certifications

  • Solid understanding and experience in risk and issue management.

  • Engineering degree

  • Fluent in English & Spanish. Portuguese is a plus.

  • Experience in app development and integration with OB projects
