The purpose of this position is to ensure timely and accurate delivery for all the customer orders assigned to this production center. You will be responsible for the quality, production efficiency, training, evaluating, staffing and scheduling of manufacturing. Additional tasks such as enforcing company policies, safety guidelines and processes and determining staffing levels to meet production demands.



Description


As a leader of our manufacturing/logistics plan you will be developing these functions:


  • Meets production operational standards by implementing, productivity, quality, resolving problems and identifying process improvements.
  • Responsible for the production, quality and delivery of all the production assigned to his manufacturing/logistics unit.
  • Provide regular performance feedback to the Global Production Manager. Be responsible for manufacturing unit KPIs monitoring and optimisation.
  • Responsible for employee scheduling and production records.
  • Determine staffing levels, resources and necessary actions in order to meet production demands. Controlling and minimizing production expenses.
  • Coordinate with the Global Production Manager to review the weekly, monthly, campaign days, production and delivery plan.
  • Inventory management.
  • Responsible for inbound logistics, quality control and reception.
  • Responsible for outbound logistics, liaise with all couriers and forwarders.
  • Coordinate with suppliers responsible for external operations, such as picking or outsourcing during high season.
  • Quality control for inbound products and manufactured bouquets, make sure to meet company standards for quality and construction.
  • Process improvement: arrange layout, tooling and equipment to reduce our current costs and increase productivity.
  • Be a key stakeholder for the manufacturing digitization process.
  • Follow and enforce company policies, procedures, health and safety standards, complying with legal regulations.
  • Facility management (equipment, space, electricity, water, cleaning services, communications, etc.)
  • Identify and develop internal talent.




Requirements and qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or in a related field and 3 years of experience in floral business (valuable, but not required) and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong track record of improving performance in previous work places
  • Strong supervisory and management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (specially Excel, Word and Powerpoint).
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Experience managing a team of +10 people.
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Availability to work some weekends and extra hours if needed
  • Ability to create and follow budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, MSDS, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to manage frequent schedule changes or unexpected events.
  • The future candidate will spend the majority of the time in our logistical center (Sant Boi de Llobregat)
