BMAT started in 2005 when a group of engineers with a passion for music decided to spin-off from an audio research lab in Barcelona. We’re now over 160 people, spread across Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Lima, Rio de Janeiro, London, Paris, Nairobi, Oslo, Tel-Aviv, Singapore, Tokyo, Manila, Bangkok and Lagos.
We’re a team of pretty decent people who enjoy working with each other. We’re open-minded and well-traveled, coming from all parts of the world. The Role
BMAT has developed a full-cycle back office service for composer and publisher societies. This product was developed in response to years of trends in the music industry establishing standards for faster and more efficient distribution, less unmatched usages and undistributed royalties for creators and rights-holders, higher transparency for the members of the CMOs; and last but not least - more flexibility for the collective management organizations.
As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for this product’s innovation and end-to-end launch in new markets. You will work closely with the clients to understand their needs and transform them into an agile development roadmap and oversee the engineering team in charge of implementing it.
We're looking for someone with a proven track record of owning data-intensive products in agile B2B environments. Previous experience in the music business is a plus. A strong belief that music can save the world is a must.
What you’ll be doing:
- Define, develop, own & execute the product strategy and roadmap
- Onboarding new business clients on the product
- Collect, manage and maintain traceability of requirements from all stakeholders
- Lead the backlog groomings and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
- Be the recognized expert in the business on the product, the market, relevant technology and the competition.
- Perform product demos to customers and develop relationships with key clients
- Collate feedback from CRMs and customers
- Participate in monthly product reviews with customers
- Evangelize the product internally and externally
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Product Owner
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
- Experience in the music industry and/or B2B product management is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technical background, with experience in web-apps
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
Bonus Track:
Certified Scrum or Scrum Alliance, PMP, PMI ACP certifications.
Languages:
Fluent in English is a must
