THE ROLE

You’ll shape and automate the organization and aggregation of our existing data and gather data from new sources. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and our product teams to pull the data that informs product decisions. You will own the flow of data from our product to internal data consumers and contribute to long-term plans for optimizing analytics and decision-making.

  • 3+ years of programming experience, ideally involving analytics/statistics/data visualization
  • Comfort designing schemas in MySQL (>3 years)
  • Strong experience with Python (>2 years)
  • Experience working with large quantities of raw, disorganized data
  • Efficient, clever, practical programmer with a record of producing dependable code that’s easy to build on
  • Bachelor’s degree or better in a technical field (CS/Math/Stats/Engineering)

BONUS POINTS

  • Advanced DBA-like knowledge of databases
  • Experience with the Hadoop stack and other distributed database architectures
  • Frontend experience building web-based charts like Highcharts
