Job Description

We are looking for an expert engineer to join the team behind Candy Crush Saga within the SAGA Features team, that delivers some of the most successful features for CCS. Our programmers are at the heart of our game development. They are driven, dedicated people who contribute not only to the code, but to the entire product.

You have phenomenal passion for Programming, Technology, Architecture and a proven sense of Quality and an innovative outlook. As an engineer you are also analytical and genuinely interested in understanding the whole tech stack. An overview on what makes a good game is highly needed and appreciated. You will be working closely together with multi- functional team/s.

Your role within the Kingdom

  • In this role, you are an excellent C++ Developer with focus on code quality.

  • You are encouraged to improve your teams' communication and collaboration and efficiency.

  • Facilitating multi- functional and cross- business unit alignment, providing clear and timely information to all collaborators, and driving informed decision- making.

  • You actively encourage the sharing of knowledge and make sure that important information is easily accessible to everyone.

  • You have in- depth knowledge of C++ and are able to identify and apply relevant software engineering concepts, architect sophisticated systems and actively take a part in game creation.

  • You challenge the quality standards and are accountable for the quality of the systems and components owned by the teams you work in and collaborate with.

  • You facilitate and drive the investigation and mitigation of live incidents and enable detection and prevention mechanisms against future issues and have in depth knowledge of production environments.

  • You cultivate a culture of autonomy and accountability across multiple teams, promoting self- management and ownership, setting the direction and defining the scope of work.

  • This role is for an R&D space that encourages experimentation and design innovation.

  • Adaptability to change is important for you to strike a balance between providing structure to the team and being open to flexibility.

  • You should possess the strive to push things forward and be unafraid of challenges.

  • You should be enthusiastic about solving problems of varying complexity within a team setting. You will play a pivotal role in defining the architecture, design, stories, and task breakdowns, as well as coordinating technical synchronization. You will need to examine various options and actively assist the team in making decisions regarding technical solutions and processes, including collaborating with the tech leadership team.

Skills to create thrills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience inter- department tech communication.

  • Excellent collaboration skills, pro activeness, flexibility, and ability to balance multiple tasks.

  • Previous experience working with C++ projects.

  • Previous experience with gaming is a plus.
