Pricing Analyst / Data Scientist in Barcelona

Stayforlong is the first hotel booking website specialized in longer stays. We offer bookings from three nights onwards with amazing discounts depending on the amount nights booked. Right now we are working with more than 100.000 hotels around the world and we collaborate with companies like Skyscanner, Tripadvisor and Kayak.

We’re looking for a highly analytic Pricing Analyst / Data Scientist to join our talented team in Barcelona.

Job Purpose
You’ll help us to further understand and model our pricing strategies, and predict, segment and retain our clients. As a Pricing Analyst you’ll get the overall responsibility of the pricing strategy and as a Data Scientist you’ll become the optimizer master of all areas of the business.

Main job responsibilities are:

• Assume the full ownership of Pricing strategies.

• Apply statistical methods (and some machine learning) to improve pricing strategies and increase sales through those improvements.

• Be the master for Data Analysis at the company.

• Monitor daily results and improve KPIs performance.

• Explore our data to find growth opportunities.

• Develop an analysis strategy and perform analysis of complex scenarios.

• Provide an analytics perspective to discussions and help to drive the priorities within your team.

• You’ll help draw out the product roadmap, design experiments to estimate the impact of future releases.

• Build fast data visualizations.

Desired skills and experience:

• You’ve got 4-5 years of experience as a pricing analyst, data scientist, data analyst, business analyst, or a something along those lines.

• You’re comfortable talking about mathematics, statistics, or computer science.

• You can show us how you applied your knowledge to resolve problems.

• You’re pragmatic. You value simple and effective solutions over complicated brain-melters.

• You can take a complex concept and make it sound simple, using clear visual references to help.

• You’ve got experience building queries with SQL or other query languages.

• You can code PHP, Python, R, or similar languages.
