Job Description
PostgreSQL | DBA | DB as a Service | AWS Aurora | Azure | GCP
You will work in a multifunctional team, acting as an internal service provider for development teams and operating PostgreSQL at scale on various Hyperscalers. Developers need to rely on a seamless PostgreSQL database backend, just by annotating the service and ideally everything else is taken care of.
In case of service degradation, (hot-)fixing a database, running under high load, and later analyzing the root-causes during Post-Mortems in order to prevent further occurrences and increase resilience.
Your role:
Providing Databases as a Service for application teams
Support the development teams with performance optimizations and query optimization
Automating orchestration of database backends, utilizing service offerings where possible
Acting as Special Matter Expert for internal customers/consumers
Qualifications
Technical study related to Software Engineering or similar
A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with administering PostgreSQL deployments
A minimum of 2+ years of public cloud exposure
Automation and building resilient (self-healing) deployments is part of your daily routine
Terraform knowhow is a big plus
